Is there anyone who didn't recently immigrate from Pakistan at any of these protests? 99% of the furor seems to be from the Muslim community so it's odd to see the Muslim haters forming such an unholy alliance with their avowed enemies. Maybe the most important sex ed lesson from all of this is that politics makes strange bedfellows.

The Ontario curriculum is not substantially different from what was already in place in most provinces, most of what the political right believes to be true is just patently false misinformation.

A desperate ploy from the once proud political party whose only products now are grandiose lies, demagoguery, and landslide election losses, and total inability to see how these things are connected.

Think about it this way. Suppose Kathy forces a Catholic priest to marry a gay couple. But just up the street she's letting the Imam pass on the same practice. That's a special kind of wrong and it has nothing to do with whether or not the Catholic priest and Muslim Imam are allies. That's not the point.

Before you jump on others, what do you specifically know about what's taking place in schools?

Do you have kids in the school system in Ontario or Toronto?

Accommodations are made at schools all over the Province for a variety of reasons.

Christian's have had exceptions made for them for ages. I had a friend in school that got exempted from a lot of things in school, including standing in-class for the anthem because he was a Jehovah's Witness.

Imagine the outrage of a Muslim kid asking to sit in the hallway during the anthem?

My kids, all white and non-religious, were given the option to opt-out of their sex ed classes this year.

None of which says it is not a fact that Thorncliffe got an allowance the catholic school did not. That was the claim, and no, you're anecdotal evidence of whatever it is you want to talk about does not disprove that claim.

Just out of curiosity though, because I am curious, did your kids accept the option? If not, do they have friends that did? It was in Ontario, right?

How do you know that no Catholic school hasn't been given an exemption? Of course they did!
