Typhoons from RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire, flew to Kent at supersonic speeds to dramatically halt the plane on its way to Birmingham airport after it 'caused concern' to air traffic controllers.

They were going to shoot down a large aircraft and have it crash into urban London?

Really?

I doubt it. Nobody would take responsibility for doing something like that.

If it was heading towards Parliament or Buckingham palace these days it may well have been shot down.
