You think collateral damage was high going after Al Qaeda in Astan - what do you think it will be among your own people trying to militarily defeat people that are that integrated into your society? They're not shitting about taking the silver - you don't think all those billions of drug money buys cops, judges, maybe a congressman or senator even? The war on drugs has failed - face up to it already.

You would need to invade all the Northern MX State's plus seal the Border tight. In addition you would need AZ, NM and TX to declare a emergency state wide to deal with riots from the La Rozza Nation and illegals and also put Military Police/Civil Affairs in charge of Local Police/Fire. Another wards the Cartels have infiltrated the Police/elected government. Like or not Obama is part of the issue by being a Anchor Baby and vote rancher of the Slaves and illegals in the US. Just ask the the US marine who is imprisoned in a Mexico Federal prison ran by the Cartels.
