The medal is awarded to people who have made a significant contribution to a particular province, territory, region or community within Canada, or an achievement abroad that brings credit to Canada.

    Seriously?

Let me guess, Curtman is trying to slam the Biebs XD

    Harper doesn't pick the recipients.

Somebody needs to slap that kid up-side the head.

I never understood the hate, Canada is the source of one of the most popular artists in the world, that should be a source of pride even if you hate his music.

Sounds fine but the ignorant little fuck should have dressed properly for such an event and not looked like a gay train conductor.

It's actually a huge improvement from the criminal anti-abortion activists receiving these medals.

When I was his age, I'm sure a lot of adults would have told me to get a hair cut... and get a real job. :D

Someone should tell this kid to start eating as I've seen more meat in a bag of chips than on this kid.

i am not a Bilieber and yet i can not ignore the fact that Justin Bieber is a HUGE international pop star. Like him or not he does bring recognition to Canada and Canadians. He gets so many accolades does he really need (or deserve) a Diamond Jubilee Medal? Who cares, good on him!
