Your the one being the partisan asshole here. If that consumer protection bill went through, the government could demand a recall of these products instead of asking for some company in China to please consider doing the right thing and recalling their own faulty product.
It's better a impotent version fall because a prorogue will reset the senate to reflect that power balance and can pass the original that everyone wanted.
