Former New Democrat cabinet minister Moe Sihota is back in politics. Sihota was elected the head of the B.C. NDP at the party's biennial convention in Vancouver Saturday
He may just be, but of all the left wing crowd of the 90's Moe was the only one I could stand.
A very personable guy who just happened to be an intregal part of the second worst government BC ever had. I'll leave figuring out who's the worst up to you.
I'll admit that I don't follow the up & commer's of the BC-NDP ranks but I just wonder if there was no one else. I don't like her but maybe Dawn Black would have been the figurehead.

Nor do I. But I know for a fact that Moe's still well liked in the Esquimalt area and quite likely around the province, probably more so than some of the current crop of NDP'ers.
Or, it might just be that the NDP's trying to get some mileage out of his name.
The only problem with Moe, was that as an opposition MLA he was always at the throat of the goverment, but once he became part of the ruling party he became just as bad if not worse than the people he replaced.
I have to admit, I always liked Moe. He's a personable guy who made himself available to his constituents. The only thing I disliked about him was that he was an NDPer. That being said, he was up again the Socreds at the time and they were a train wreck.

Isn't this typical of most, if not all politicians?

Very true.
