A man attacked two American tourists, killing one and injuring the other, at an ancient landmark in Beijing on the first day of the Olympic Games on Saturday, then leapt to his death from the structure, state media reported.
And why are the Olympic games in China????
Its clearly not a stable place for foreigners to visit with radical protests against the games and the government of China.
I guess they shouldn't have held them in Atlanta either, seeing as bombs were set off there. I'm no fan of the Red Reich, and believe that it shouldn't have gotten the games for other reasons, but Beijing is quite safe for foreigners from a security standpoint. I'd be more worried about the food, water and air quality than terrorists.
Interpol said initial investigations found nothing indicating the murder was linked to terrorism or organized crime.
Random attack, it happens everywhere in this world. This had nothing to do with what some call 'Radical Protests'. Shep is right, there is so much more to worry about then random attacks.

This is a tragic event for the couple and their friends and family and for the Chinese people who desired to see these games go without a hitch.
I dont see why not.
Hate crime? against white people?
I dont see why not.
Sure, ask Wada and CommanderSock, they sure seem to hate white people and North America as a whole.
