Earnings bonanza continues at big banks as RBC, TD and CIBC profits up by more than 100%

Why is the government not ramming a bailout package for these companies so hard hit by the pandemic? This is a critical industry, and they shouldn't have to suffer like this.

This is the part where I get to say how pleased I am that the most privileged, comfortable, safe, and powerful people in the world are doing even better than they were before. Truly these titans among us, these self-made men who did it all with THEIR OWN BARE HANDS, deserve every single one of the rewards of their labours, and for their part in building an economic system that can only be described as truly great. Bow your heads, monkeys, your betters deserve your kneeling gratitude.

So why do some of you still have accounts in banks instead of Credit Unions. The last time I had an account in a bank was in 1975.

Don't know about you but the credit unions where I am are armature hour. The bank machines are constantly on the fritz, their staff are outright rude to my wife (I had her close the account when they berated her in public for an issue she has ZERO control over) and they outsource their financial products to third parties that constantly jack the rates.

Sorry, the big 5 are big for a reason they get the job done.

The big banks are major partners with almost all the credit unions anyway. There's no real way to escape them or their perfidy.

I'm with number 7... but it's not a bank.
