To have this guy convince the British Gov't that he was on a religious retreat (a term that usually turns out to mean, being radicalized) in Pakistan show's a severe lack of proper intelligence gathering on these assholes. In this case it appears the Americans had it right and the Brit's got it all wrong. Not only did it cost lives it cost them alot of money that likely went into Al Qaeda's coffers.
