<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=520 border=0> <TBODY> <TR> <TD></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE> <P class=biopar>Red Storey was born in Barrie, Ontario. He was the Chief Referee of the NHL from 1950 to 1959. In addition to working 480 regular-season games, he worked in seven consecutive Stanley Cup Final series from 1952 through 1958. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1967. In 1991, he was made a Member of the Order of Canada.<BR><BR>Storey passed away in Montreal at age 88.</P>

<P class=biopar>Became a member of the Order of Canada in 1991.</P> <P class=biopar>Elected to Canada's Sports Hall of Fame in 1986.</P> <P class=biopar>Elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1967.</P> <P class=biopar>Chief referee of the NHL from 1950 to 1959, he refereed seven straight Stanley Cup finals from 1952 to 1958.</P> <P class=biopar>Played in the Canadian Football League from 1936 to 1941, and was on the Toronto Argonauts' Grey Cup champions of 1937-38; he scored three touchdowns in the fourth quarter of the 1938 championship game.</P> <P class=biopar>Passed away the same week as Canadian hockey legend Bernie "Boom Boom" Geoffrion (March 12, 2006)</P>
