Increasing people sovereignty is my peeve thing. DD looks most relevant to that end. I have got an FHQ related initiative trying to get some mega bureaucracies off their derrière at la SRC and the CRTC. I was expecting an update this week but was informed that this was delayed for the gazillionth time until later this week. Oh well what is couple more days in the larger picture... Writing articles and improving perspective are also good when people contribute feedback. I hope one day writing the story of this initiative and all the hoops I had to jump through.

You must master the system to control it. So even if you want proportional representation or direct democracy, you must master the party system to achieve it.

Find the party that best shares your views and work within it to forge the party that completely represents your views. And get it elected. I don't really see what ELSE you could do.

Personal initiatives might help make a stronger case. A good analogy is these Internet medias now raising the bar on the mainstream media. Mainstream is mst receptive under a threat that successes of alternative ways bring. I do agree that a political party needs to be lined up to this. And yes the NDP is the most likely one to be receptive to this. My NDP MP and his colleague attached to bilingualism&multiculturalism are currently tracking my personal initiative. I am hoping that I will not need their active intervention.
