Which means what? We’ll buy weapons from the 80’s and get them by 2030?

Also, good luck to the CAF getting any of the newer systems. They’re being used by Ukraine as fast as they can get them and all NATO armies are trying to keep their arsenals properly stocked as well. Raytheon, TI, Boeing et al, are going to be working overtime to keep production apace. I doubt we’d get our hands on what we want. Much less what we need.

Bayraktar TB2 Drones are made with components made in Canada. We make the optics. It's not that hard to figure it out.

We make a lot of optics for the other drones they use too.

I have a feeling that drones fighting drones are going to be the main form of modern combat.

I would like to see CAF get serious about anti-air assets. Drones help with recon and artillery and should be baked into doctrine by this point. M777 can only get you so far and they need to be defended from counterfire.
