Tankie$1:
Tankie is a pejorative label for communists, particularly Stalinists, who support the authoritarian tendencies of Marxism–Leninism. The term was originally used by dissident Marxist–Leninists to describe members of the Communist Party of Great Britain (CPGB) who followed the party line of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU). Specifically it was used to distinguish party members who spoke out defending Soviet use of tanks to crush the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 and later the 1968 Prague Spring uprising, or more broadly, those who adhered to pro-Soviet positions in general.[1]
These are the people who decry the west while posting on tic-tok. They romanticize the totalitarian past and pine for it. They rally against the west at every turn and apologize for the Russian imperialism under the guise of keeping the west in check. They are shoulder to shoulder with neo-nazi's in Germany even though they represent everything they are supposedly against.
This is what Von Clausewitz meant when he said war is politics by other means. Labels are nothing if principals are meaningless. This is a cancer on the pollical landscape it is labeled as the left when in reality it is a Russian 5th column. A canard they use to further justify their brutalities.
