They're pretty cheap and not too hard to find. I was at an airshow in Everett, WA a few years ago and they had a bunch of vintage equiment there; including an old Mosin Nagant. It was kind of heavy, but had a good feel.
Dude said it cost him about $200.

Russia's always been pretty successful at dodging responsibility for atrocities, like the Katyn massacres (that they're still insisting the Third Reich did) or the mass murders they committed in Afghanistan.
