I can't think of any community that has responded to the AIDS crisis with as much precaution and activism as the gay community (barring some men who find unprotected sex a turn-on outweighing the risks; a minority of us).<br /> <br /> It's not surprising though, we're still not allowed to give blood in Canada, even a man whose only had sex with another man once since 1977 is permenently deferred.
