That's kind of a very over simplified example kathaksung.<br /> <br /> If the stock rose, then the value of the company rose, and A's $10 came from that rise in value, and the companies value decreases $10. When B buys the stock, the value is retained. If the companies value increases again, and the stock is worth $120, then B sells to C, the same is true.
