I saw part one tonight, and I can't believe that many have already seen it and there hasn't been more talk. Wow, very well researched and interesting information. I knew the neocons had an ideology that was driven, but this puts things into perspective for me. Two fundamentalist groups the Muslims and Christian extremes, believing they will save the world, even if it means killing most of us! Gee thanks! Can't wait for parts 2 & 3.

It supports the old cliche that "History repeats itself". The same lies and myths that were being used against Russia to create the evil enemy are still being used against Iraq, Syria and Iran today. Just makes me barf.

As for others having seen the doc. They were downloading it off the net. Dr. C. introduced us to it on the forums here and I was upset because on dialup I cannot see videos and movies. I emailed CBC twice asking the Passionate Eye to show it. I now have to email a thanks to them.

Is this not what Normand Lester Black Book was about, right here at home! Note that Lester went on and wrote two more Black Books, and was asking last week for an other Gomery on the referendum love rally funding scam.

Not only the history repeats itself, but the media and the media analysts do it too. Ooopsie, I was forgetting people reading those. Let's see if I can rehash my Back Book review article. Rambo I, Rambo II and Rambo III. Iraq, Iran. etc...
Sorry DR C, it just goes to show that we are saturated with news, and it is difficult to absorb it all. I do believe I read the article when you posted, but I disregarded it because.... the problem at that time for me, was I did have dial up, so I was waiting for regular media or video to come out. Sorry and thanks.

Anytime C#.

So, what do you think so far? Neocons and the Radical Muslims aren't that far apart, are they? Both use misquoted and distorted view of religion to steer society the way that they want it to go.
I can't wait to see what happens tonight, but I'll bet the majority of both of those groups have no idea that most of the propaganda they believe as truth, is totally fabricated. I knew they were capable of the fear factor, but I really didn't know about the propaganda, made up to create the 'fear the Russians' ideology! That did shock me! If they could pull that b.s. for that long, what on earth should we believe today?

Wow, this is really incredible, and when you consider that all those guys in the whitehouse today, were there with Reagan. If they keep creating evil monsters that they alone can destroy and people continue to believe these myths, nobody is safe. It does make me wonder about 911, I have to admit, and I think people will continue to look for the conspiracy behind many events, because the reality is that conspiracies, to create reality, out of fantasy, has been going on for so long.

Hehehe. On September 23, 2001, Condaleeza Rice said that the US has undenyable proof that Osama Bin Laden perpetrated the September 11 attacks. Has anyone seen that evidence yet?

The part I love best about "The Power of Nightmares" was when the Muslim factions can't seem to see other factions as 'True Muslim Enough' for other factions, so they start killing each other. It's just so 'Greek Tragedy'
So that was "The Power of Nightmares". I found myself shaking my head most of the time. Funny how Bush seemed sane in the context of insanity. There were times I thought I was watching or listening to Monty Python and this last episode did start using more humour. The old movie clips interspersed with Bush's speech was fitting. The only thing about it however that is incredibly distressing for me is to think of how many innocent lives are lost just to gain or maintain a sense of superiority.

There's a lot of people that need to see this film. I wonder how many USAmericans have seen it?

Short attention span, eh Spudster? There was lots of meat, you just had to wait for the background info so you could put all the pieces together.

If it didn't make you angry, then you weren't paying attention.
I wonder how many USAmericans have seen it?
Not many, I’d guess. Little from the CBC appears on American TV. (The local cable company does provide some Montréal channels, but that’s because we’re near the border. I’m not a cable subscriber.)

Sorry Doc.
There is nothing that surprises me or really angers me anymore.Seen too much, know too much.I am fully aware of what goes on in the world.Have been for years.Governments are crime syndicates. They are violent.Multi national corporations are violent and manipulating. The program just did not grab my interest,if you got some good out of it more power to you.If it becomes available on VHS/DVD I may buy/rent a copy to see if at a later time it provokes something in me.I doubt it.
If I had the final say on what to do with these people who do nothing but cause misery in the world, well lets just say I can match them +somemore
