Indeed - we are not only killing ourselves, we are most certainly also destroying the next few generations chances of living healthy as well. Even if we stopped polluting completely right this minute - it will still take dozens of years to recover in many places.<br /> <br /> Sadly, it all comes down to profit and the greed machine that drives it.

In the last few monthas an NDP member submitted a private member's bill in the House of Commons calling for the baning of Transfats (Hydrogenated oils) in all food sold in Canada.It was said that such a ban would reduce the prevalence of type 2 diabetes by 80% and result in a drasic reduction in heart disease in Canadians. It received all party unanimous support.<br /> Now the bureaucrats are studying it to death in an effort to squeeze whatever dollars they can for themselves out of the issue while we continue to be poiisoned .<br /> Hopefuly the next session of parliament will pass it making us the only country in the world ,other than Denmark ,which has such a ban.<br /> Brent
