But they usually say in the same breath, I'm a Québécois first, then I'm Canadian. That to me says a lot about where their heart lies. <br />

Si la comparaison est loufoque, soit. Si te titre est inapproprie et pathetique, c'est une autre opinion. Comme franco hors-Quebec, j'ai aussi le droit a mon opinion. Je crois qu'Asterix le Gaulois comprendrait bien comment la menace des Romains et des Barbares sur leur village s'applique par ici avec certains Quebecois et Americains. Aussi pouvons-nous repondre dans la langue du premier message?

Je trouve ça intéressant comme sujet. Mais pour changer un peu les choses, et pour mettres certains trucs en perspective du sujet: prenons les langues. Le village d'Astérix est le Québec où une bande d'irréductibles francos s'accrochent encore et encore à une langue que plusieurs considèrent morte en Amérique. Ils ne sont que 7,5 millions contre l'empire canado-américain, fort de plus de 300 millions de sujets, contre l'empire hispanophone avec plus de 260 millions de sujets et le Brésil fort de 180 millions de lusophones.<br /> <br /> Suicide ou obstination? Potion magique ou caractère?<br /> <br /> Ces chiffres me font peur à chaque fois que je les regarde. Pour moi, ça remet constamment les choses en perspective. On répète 7,5 millions...

Si non, c'est le suicide d'une langue et d'une culture entière en Amérique du Nord et qui se souviendra de nous ?
