At $36US (and from what I understand, the US is only paying Canada $20 for the oil that crosses the border), it really doesn't matter what the former government said or did (or didn't do). If Alberta can't compete in the marketplace the way the Saudis and Russians can, they may as well explore other options, such as refining the stuff......
