Well I'm "Robin Matthews" shocked after reading your article! Have you forgotten the terror in Haiti in the days of Papa Doc and Baby Doc (homegrown aristocratic) Haitians? The Ton Ton Macoute who killed innocent people for the fun of it? Maybe you're too young to remember when these people raped the country of Haiti; socially and economically. Why do we always pass the buck on the Americans? Why are we so biased in our reporting? I remember my mom visiting Haiti in the 70's on business and hearing unimaginable stories of her friends just disappearing and turning up couple days later dead. Tear gas being turned on dignified Haitians who simply rebelled against the power hungry Haitian beaurocrats who didn't hesitate to silence any and all opposition to their tyranny.
No mon ami, you have to hear the real story from the lips of downtrodden Haitians who know what it means to suffer at the hands of their own.
