I see part two of Obama's "America First" plan is kicking in, isolationism. Why, exactly, is the United States worried about what Russia might think of the missile defense shield? Of course they'll be pissed over it. They've been pissed since they lost the Cold War and their whole empire along with it.

It's OK. Obama's got a better plan.

Considering the performance of our NATO allies in Afghanistan, I'm not seeing much I'd want to save there.

If he thinks that this is going to make Putin easier to deal with he's crazy.

Yeah let's lean on some pisspot eastern European country so we can move in and put a crapload of missiles on Russia's doorstep, even though the Cold War has been over for decades. Brilliant plan.

Tough crap, neo-cons. You had your run. You failed miserably. Apparently you are having trouble moving on.

This ratchets down the conflict with the Russians. Putting the missiles on their borders was an insane idea in the first place. Anyone remember their history? The USSR tried a similar thing in Cuba. It didn't go well either.

No but they got US missiles out of Turkey from that deal.

Bho just rolled over and spread his cheeks.

I notice the knee-jerk haters club can't be bothered with distinguishing between defensive anti-missile interceptors and offensive weaponry.

The whole neo-con movement is quickly approaching a cult status. No more relevant. Just noisy and persistent.

And of course the Russians would be at each site to make sure and have a veto for any missile to be fired over their territory. In any rational discussion, it’s hard to deny the Russians apprehension now isn’t it.

Why do we give a crap about the Russians tweaking over ten defensive missiles? The missiles would be launched from Poland, by the way, and if they did enter Russian air space it would be to intercept missiles launched from Russia in the direction of Western Europe.

So what this means is the Russians are upset that their ability to immolate a few million Europeans might be hindered by these defensive missiles. And you're taking their side....why?
