So Mulroney is afraid to testify in front of committee and doesn't want an enquiry about cash-stuffed envelopes in hotel rooms.

It looks a lot like somebody in the Conservative Party tried to bribe Chuck Cadman before he died.

The finance minister paid one of his pals $122,000 for a poorly written 20 page speech.

I could go on...patronage appointments, shady back room deals, an almost complete disregard for election laws...but this government makes me sick.

Corruption runs deep in the Conservative Party. They are even more corrupt than the Liberals and this latest bunch is looking even more crooked than when Mulroney was in charge.

Let's send them back to the rocks they crawled out from under.

Okay, this Cadman thing needs to be investigated. If there's any truth to it whatsoever, senior Conservative officials should go to prison.

The Conservative defence is that Donna Cadman, Chuck's widow and the Conservative candidate in Surrey North, is lying. If that's the best straw they have to grasp at...calling their own candidate a liar...then they are either guilty or so incredibly inept that they should be locked up in padded cells for their own safety.

This is a much more serious crime, MTBR. Bribing an MP is roughly on a par with treason in the criminal code.

Since when do Canadians get up in arms about treason? We allow separatist parties, don't we? ;)

Ya and this is what is on the surface and now come to light. So the real question is what are we not seeing and what is brewing in the boiler room of the CONartist Party of Canada's agenda.

Harper is going to look pretty funny testifying under oath in a case he's almost certain to lose. If there was a promise of money, and Harper himself said that there was, then it was a bribe according to Canadian law.

There's a bit of a history of the Conservatives paying candidates or people they've asked to step aside. They also have a history of not paying up until they get sued.

There's also the NAFTAgate thing. Messing around in a US election is no small matter.

Then there's the scandal in the Ottawa municipal election.

And the in and out scandal.

These guys are brutally crooked.

So why are all you Liberals so hesitant to bring them down? They just killed you private members bill today.

Timing is one thing, abdicating your responsibility as the official opposition is quite another. Rumour is that Dion wants to go and the boys in the back rooms keep stopping him. I think all you guys with Liberal beside your names should line up behind your leader and push to get rid of these bastards.

Dion can't afford to go he still has 800 000 in debt from the leaders convention.Liberals must have a lot of "love" for the guy

He's on tape admitting that there was a deal.

You know who hides behind the word "alleged"? Mafia kingpins and other petty gangsters.
