It was the 12th consecutive monthly rise in Canadian GDP and matched predictions by economists.
"Comparable U.S. statistics on industrial production showed a decrease of 0.6 percent, with every component of the U.S. index experiencing a large decline in October," Statscan said.
Canada has generated more than 500,000 jobs this year .The fastest 11-month pace in this country since 1988, as business continues to expand.
Two reports, made public on Tuesday, underscore what has been a surprising revelation - that Canada's economy not only doesn't always come down with pneumonia when the U.S. catches a cold but this time hasn't even sneezed.
