Funny isn't it? The US will invade a country on the other side of the world in the name of national security yet it refuses to secure its own border.

American forumers, any opinions?

I am pissed off about the border. One of the primary reasons I hate the Republican party who had the means to fix it when they controlled Congress.

The Hispanic Vote is gaining more strength which is why the Democrats and Republicans have turned a blind-eye to the issue of securing the border with Mexico, sure they'll talk tough with prosed legislation to appease the critics but that's far as they're willing to go..

Mrs. Bart and I have two friends who bought a place in Arizona on the US-Mexico border a few years back and they have had repeated problems with regular Mexican Army units crossing the very heavily marked border and coming onto their property. In 2001/2002 or so they were held at gunpoint by these vermin and their daughter called out the sheriff's dept. and then the whole thing got nasty when the Mexicans aimed their rifles at the lone deputy who retreated. He then called the Arizona National Guard who responded with Cobra attack helicopters. At which point the Mexicans retreated after dropping their rifles as ordered by the fellows driving the attack choppers.

Since then we've heard tell of several more incursions on their property but since that first time our friends fire shots over the heads of the Mexican soldiers while simultaneously calling the sheriff and Border Patrol. Eventually, someone is going to get hurt.

Totally a Liberal response.

Here is a historical timeline if you are interested in fact rather than sensationalism.

This should make Lou Dobbs' head come that much closer to exploding.
